Grant Application Timeline
The North Iowa Children's Alliance Early Childhood Area (NICA) Board has agreed to distribute the FY'26 Application for Early Childhood Iowa funds. This will identify interested applicants for the Cerro Gordo, Hancock and Worth County service area. This survey will close on January 16th, 2026, at 4pm. Interested applicants who do NOT complete the survey by the deadline will be ineligible for funding consideration.
Timeline
- FY26 Request for funding opportunity released January 1st, 2026
- Applications for Grants due by Noon January 16th, 2026
- Anticipated date for award decisions February 16th, 2026
- Contracts will be sent to awarded programs by Noon on February 16th, 2026
- Contracts must be signed by February 27th, 2026
- Program budgets must be turned in by March 1st, 2026. (These will be sent with your contract).
- Submit invoices with receipts and supporting documentation monthly.
To be eligible for funding, applicants must serve one or more of the following counties: Cerro Gordo, Hancock and/or Worth Counties. All applicants must complete the electronic application form.
